Senior Producer & Content Strategist

about

Jenny Catherall is a New York-based senior producer and content strategist with 15+ years of experience turning complex ideas into clear, emotionally resonant stories.

She's built her career at the intersection of documentary craft and strategic communications, directing and producing work for organizations including Meta, Grubhub, The New York Times, TED, the Simons Foundation, and Human Rights Watch. Much of her work has been in service of mission-driven institutions: foundations, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations who need content that earns trust, advances partnerships, and moves audiences to act.

Most recently, she served as Executive Producer at People's Television, where she led the full creative slate, overseeing video, digital, and branded content for clients across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and institutional sectors. She has directed crews of up to 30, managed $500K+ production budgets, and developed pitch materials that secured over $1.5M in awarded contracts.

Her independent documentary work includes Big Party on the Other Side, an award-winning short that premiered at Palm Springs International ShortFest. She is a former CoLAB Fellow at UnionDocs and holds a B.A. from New York University.

Currently seeking in-house roles in content, communications, or production at mission-driven organizations. Available for select freelance collaborations.
